Wen Jing removed the invisibility talisman and walked back with his head dropping down in sadness. He couldn’t help but grieve in his head about the uselessness of himself and the system.

According to the development of the original novel, all the disciples would go insane on the day of the competition. With a dragon roar, the dozens of stages would all start fighting simultaneously, yet no one had thought that the over 100 disciples, both on and off the stage, would all go insane. Those on the stage would crazily try to kill each other, and blood would flow everywhere. Soon, 20-30 people had already lost their lives.

If he couldn’t find the demonic cultivator now, that tragedy would become reality.

Suddenly, a small box appeared in his head. It buzzed like the screen would disappear.

“Host, Just now——beep beep——the system used all its strength to——place a ‘十’ mark on the demonic cultivator——beep beep——It should be on the demonic cultivator’s back. The system will need two months to repair——beep beep——beep——”

Next, there was only blackness in his head with no more messages as if the system had used up the last of its energy.

Wen Jing froze for a minute then tried to open the character value, only to be met with silence.

What was this?

The system had used all its strength to put a “十” mark on the demonic cultivators back. This sounded really useful, but in reality, there were a lot of problems. It couldn’t be that he had to strip all men who appeared to be around 20-30 years old and check one by one, right?

The Sky Balance sect was covered in snow. Who would willingly take off their clothes?

He rode the wind back, his emotions going up and down. Suddenly, lights were lit, and the sounds of people’s voices were mixed together as if something big was happening. He looked over. Lights from spiritual Qi and fire lit up all of the mountain peak. Everything seemed to be in chaos.

Wen Jing landed on the snow, grabbed a Sky Balance disciple, and asked: “What’s going on?”

That disciple was a bit panicked as he answered: “Many disciples in the guest peak have gone insane in the middle of the night. They were knocked unconscious and are currently being sent to cultivator Jun for treatment!”

“What? People went insane tonight? Where’s Jun shixiong?”

“Cultivator Jun is in the room.” After that disciple finished, he commanded two disciples, “Quickly, this is the 16th one. Carry them over for cultivator Jun to treat!”

“Did anyone die?”

“As of now, no!”

The corridor leading to the room was full of bodies laying chaotically. Many idle people who came to see the drama were unbearably noisy. Wen Jing stood on his tip toes and crossed over the bodies before he finally came back to his room.

“Jun shixiong……”

The door was opened wide, and an unconscious disciple laid on the floor. Jun YanZhi had draped his coat over himself and sat crossed legged, paying no attention to his surroundings.

Wen Jing slightly relaxed.

The demonic cultivator took action one step earlier and made the incident happen in the middle of the night. This was better than in the original novel. The stages had a protective barrier that could only be broken by cultivators with Golden Core cultivation or higher. Additionally, the disciples had weapons in their hands. Under their suicidal resistance, it was impossible to prevent deaths from occurring.

Instead, the incident happened in the middle of the night. The disciples had no weapons in their hands. Once they went crazy, they woke up the people around them. Hence, even if people were heavily injured, no one was mortally injured.

The demonic cultivator suddenly changed plans, but why?

Jun YanZhi abruptly opened his eyes, quickly dealt with the tiny blood bubble on the disciple’s head, and said in a clear voice: “This one is good now. Please take him out.”

“Many thanks!” Two Sky Balance sect disciples quickly came in and carried that person out.

“Jun shixiong……”

Jun YanZhi turned his head and looked over: “Where did you go?”

“Uh……I couldn’t sleep just now and went to practice the sword.”

Jun YanZhi bit his lip and suddenly lowered his head: “Shidi, if you have any worries, remember to tell me. Did you……go to look at that again……”

“No!” Wen Jing’s scalp tingled. He quickly denied.

“ShuiYue palace also met trouble! Move out of the way! Step aside!” Two young disciples shouted and ran over from the corridor. They stood at the door, breathing heavily. “Cultivator Jun, ShuiYue palace’s palace master ShuiYue has also lost her sanity. The sect leader has requested that cultivator Jun save her first.”

The disciples outside wanted to complain but didn’t dare to. They held back and watched the two people while whispering.

“A palace master’s life is a life. Is a disciple’s life not a life?”

“I heard that many peak masters met with trouble……”

Jun YanZhi quickly wore his clothes and glanced at Wen Jing. As if nothing had happened, he asked: “I’m a bit busy these days. What are you planning to do?”

“I’ll tidy up a bit here and go accompany you.” Wen Jing lightly picked up the belt on the chair and helped him put it on from the back. Wen Jing gently stroked his hair with his hand, “Your hair is a bit messy. Do you want to brush it?”

The roots of his hair felt as if they were shocked. Jun YanZhi turned around, glanced at him, and then walked out of the door silently.

.

Jun YanZhi stayed at Xi Yang peak for a month. He successfully treated 80 some people, but over a dozen remained unconscious. Wen Jing stayed by his side all day. Although he couldn’t do anything, he sat not far away, quietly watching like a little dog.

Finally, the last disciple was carried away. Jun YanZhi lifted his clothing and stood up.

Everyone stopped and stared at him without blinking.

Cui Ying respectfully said: “Cultivator Jun has worked hard. The sect leader commanded that you first rest for a day and come back to Xi Yang peak tomorrow. All the sect leaders wish to thank cultivator Jun in person.”

Jun YanZhi’s expression was as light as clear water: “Many thanks.”

Wen Jing quietly walked to his side and whispered: “Shixiong, let’s go.”

“Let’s go.” Jun YanZhi lightly smiled and patted him on the shoulder, “These days must have tired you out.”

Everyone’s gaze landed on him.

Wen Jing’s blushed. He didn’t know if it was a psychological effect or not, but he always felt that the majority of those gazes contained envy and jealousy, making one feel a bit smug. He quickly hid his thoughts and watched Jun YanZhi.

When the two people returned to where they live, it was already late into the night. Jun YanZhi took off his coat and hung it off to the side. He sat on the bed with his head down.

“Shixiong what’s wrong?” Wen Jing sat down beside him without any precautions, “Shixiong became the savior of the five great sects. You should be happy.”

Jun YanZhi didn’t talk; instead, he silently leaned on his shoulder.

“Shixiong…… Do you have difficulties?” Wen Jing hesitated for a moment then put his sweaty hand on his shoulder, asking gently.

“Shidi…… Do you want to spend this lifetime with me like this?” Jun YanZhi said quietly into Wen Jing’s neck. Jun YanZhi’s breath flowed onto his neck, making his entire body hot.

“Shixiong, calm down.” Wen Jing closed his eyes.

“Shidi, I know how much you respect and admire me, but what I feel towards you is……” Jun YanZhi held his face and gently * on the edge of his ear, “a different kind of emotion.”

Wen Jing’s whole body stiffened and trembled. Keeping calm, he said: “Shixiong, the feelings between us are the feelings between shixiongs and shidis.”

The tongue followed his neck onto his shoulder. Jun YanZhi gently bit his collarbone: “……Shixiongs and shidis don’t do this.”

“Shixiong, I don’t deserve you.” Wen Jing was at a loss.

His outer coat and middle layer of clothing got pulled open. A pair of callused hands slipped over his chest, gently squeezing the red beans on his chest. Wen Jing got pressed down onto the bed. His whole body was so hot that he couldn’t speak.

“Shidi, I waited from when you were 15 until now. If you don’t desperately resist tonight, I will continue to the end.” Jun YanZhi followed his collarbone downwards, kissing along the way. Once he came to Wen Jing’s waist, he gently tugged on the belt.

With his remaining reason, Wen Jing did one last struggle: “Shixiong, we’re both male. You don’t understand…… Being together with a man, this is a big deal to me.”

Long and slender fingers stretched into his pants. They held on neither loosely nor tightly, slowly rubbing. Wen Jing let out a moan similar to a little animal when it became frantic: “Shixiong, you……” That was foul play!

Jun YanZhi lowered his head and gently licked: “Shidi, you don’t know that I’ve never really trusted anyone. No matter what, don’t betray me, okay?”

“I won’t betray you, never!” Wen Jing touched his head, wanting to cry yet had no tears, “Shixiong, raise your head. It’s dirty!———— Ah!”

Jun YanZhi silently raised his head, wiping the white liquid on his cheek with his sleeve: “……Not too fast.”

Wen Jing sat up while covering half of his face with his hands: “…………”

Jun YanZhi took off his middle layer of clothing. The shapely and lean male body was like an ancient greek statue under the candle light. He hugged Wen Jing and burrowed into the blanket, blocking his mouth completely. Their tongues were tangled together, filled with desire.

“Shidi, you’re the only person that I want, understand?” Jun YanZhi took off Wen Jing’s undergarments. Panting, he softly whispered, “Whether you want to be with me or not, you have to be with me. You won’t be able to run away……”

“Shixiong, I, this is my first time.” Wen Jing’s face was red as his legs were pushed apart. Something scorching hot tightly pressed on him. His lower half spasmed. He couldn’t help but tightly grab onto his back.

Jun YanZhi gently kissed him: “Shidi, don’t be scared.”

“En, en.”

Jun YanZhi’s movement suddenly stopped. He gazed deeply into Wen Jing’s eyes: “Shidi, I want to tell you my real name. Can you store it in your heart and not tell anyone else?”

He didn’t know why, but the moment they combined, he suddenly had the desire to let him know his real name. Even if he couldn’t tell him everything, he could at least know a bit about him.

“Your real name?”

“When I was young, I lost my parents. I was adopted at age 10. It was only recently that I remembered my real name.” Jun YanZhi gently hugged him. His nose rubbed against his neck, “Do you want to know it?”

“Eh? Okay.” Wen Jing couldn’t help but swallow some saliva.

Jun YanZhi lowered his head and kissed him deeply for a long time. When he pulled out his tongue, he gently said a sentence by Wen Jing’s ear: “My real name is Zhangsun Shaoyi.”

Inside Wen Jing’s head, an explosion went off. It was as if his head had cracked into pieces. He couldn’t come back to his senses.

“Shidi?” Jun YanZhi closely watched him. He felt that hard thing closely attached to himself quickly soften and tentatively asked, “You’ve heard of this name before?”

Wen Jing held his head and tried his best to cover his pale white face: “I haven’t heard of it. My head suddenly started to hurt.”

Jun YanZhi was a bit hesitant, but he finally came down from the bed. With his back facing him, he poured some water.

Wen Jing watched Jun YanZhi’s bare back in panic. A tiny “十” was on his back. Although it wasn’t very eye-catching, it was as dazzling as an ugly scar to him. He couldn’t ignore it.

“Shixiong, my head hurts so much I can’t endure it anymore.” Wen Jing held his head. A tearing pain came from his head.

Jun YanZhi fed him water, wore a robe, and gently stroked his head: “I know. Go to sleep.”

“……En.” Wen Jing turned around and tightly shut his eyes.

Zhangsun Shaoyi and the “十” mark…… These had to be a coincidence……right?

Footnotes:

I’ve realized that the heart devil thing might be vague, and I accidentally changed it’s term to heart demon in chapter 51 which I have fixed. Thanks to my editor for pointing it out. The heart devil or devils are basically things that you are overly obsessed with or hold extremely strong feelings for. They are usually used to create illusions that you won’t be able to walk out of because you get so emotional that you don’t find out you are in an illusion even if the illusion is illogical. This can be things like a lover, death of a family member, or something you felt guilty about doing like killing someone. You have probably read about it in other cultivation novels. This is also why cultivators try to stay away from worldly affairs and are all so indifferent. If your heart devil isn’t very strong or you have a very strong will, it doesn’t really affect you unless someone like Jun YanZhi purposefully magnifies it or you are trying to raise your cultivation to the next level.

Tn: ………..Too many things happened. Wen Jing please talk it out with your Jun shixiong. Don’t betray him at least without talking it out first.(>﹏<)Communication is important guys.

  1. I just HAD to comment. Really author? Do the revelation while papapa is close at hand? I am furious, already had my pants down but you just had to c*ck-block your own son 😒

  2. Wow.

But I wonder, did Jun cause the madness this time or was it someone else? Or…could it have been an accident? The ones who went mad were innocents who fell into the trap he set for the others but when he noticed Wen Jing was gone after he got back from his revenge he lost his mind and so everything happened at this moment?

I wonder what set him off in the original story? Is it just the fact that not having someone to love and trust (Wen Jing) made him into a real villain? It’s not that he intentionally meant to kill those uninvolved with his revenge but he lost himself and they already had his blood (intentionally or unintentionally) in them so they fell too?

  3. Thank you for the translation!

Man, no wonder the original novel was tagged as ‘Dark’: the supposed protagonist is the villain! I’m guessing the 2nd half of the original novel meant to show YanZhi’s descent into madness; now that Wen Jing’s present, the story will actually head towards Wen Jing’s assumed perfect ending (but this time he’s the ML’s partner 😏)

This novel’s description on NU makes sense to me now 😆

  4. What the! The author ruined papapa. Did they do it until the end and it was censored or it just stopped in the middle? At least wait until papapa is finished before revealing. Author sama, you ruined the first time, tsk tsk. I was excitedly reading…hah what disappointment.
